Process a local delivery order or invoice on a Smart Terminal
When a Local Delivery invoice or online pickup order is created, use the GoDaddy Smart Terminal to process the order, process payment, and complete the order when it’s been delivered.
An alert will appear on the smart terminal whenever a new local delivery order is placed. (To adjust this alert, open the Orders app, then tap
Orders, and then
Settings. Switch the toggle to turn online order notification or sound on/off.)
Note:
- For online orders, you’ll need to set up the local delivery or local pickup shipping methods in your Websites + Marketing store, or the local pickup method in your Managed Ecommerce for WordPress online store if you’d like to offer these options to customers.
- For invoices, the local delivery fulfillment option is available only with the Invoicing and Pay Links Plus or Point of Sale Plus plan.
- From the Smart Terminal home menu, tap Orders.
- Tap the Status dropdown and check the box next to Open. Tap Apply.
- Tap the Types dropdown and check the box next to Delivery. Tap Apply.
- A list of all open local delivery orders and invoices will appear. Tap an order to open the order details.
- Prepare the order and deliver it to your customer.
- If the order is Unpaid, process the customer’s payment. (If the order is Paid, skip this step.)
- Tap Charge.
- Tap the payment method field in the upper-right corner and select the customer’s payment method (Credit, Cash, Manual Entry, etc.).
- Follow the onscreen prompts to process the customer’s payment.
- Tap Done.
- Tap Mark Delivered to complete the order.
