Social media can be a valuable asset to any business. It allows you to establish a meaningful dialogue with your customers instead of just blindly distributing information to them.

Connect your social media accounts to GoDaddy

Before you start, here are some tips on choosing which social media platforms you need.

By connecting your social media profiles to GoDaddy, you can manage everything from one central location. You only need to be active on the social media accounts that are important to your audience but it's nice to have the other accounts claimed so someone else doesn't grab your business name.

Required: To use Facebook and Instagram, you must have a Facebook business account and an Instagram professional (business or creator) account; your personal accounts won't work. Also, link your Instagram professional account to your Facebook page so that you can use the Facebook login to access the account.
  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Scroll down, expand Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
  3. On your dashboard, expand Social, and then select Overview.
  4. Under Platforms, select any of the available social platforms you want to connect: Facebook, Instagram or Google Business Profile.
  5. Once you've selected a platform, you can connect with an account you already have or create a new account.

Create a post

You'll grow a following quicker if you create consistent content. It doesn't have to be daily; once a month or every other week also works.

Take a moment to prepare your message and create a professional-looking design using Content Creator.

  1. When you're ready, go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Scroll down, expand Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
  3. On your dashboard, expand Marketing and then select Social Posts.
  4. In the upper-right corner, select Create Post.
  5. Choose a theme and tone, write a caption (or select Suggest to let artificial intelligence (AI) write one for you), and add any images, links, products from your online catalog, videos or emojis.
  6. Select Preview Post.
  7. You can now post to Facebook, Instagram or Google Business Profile, all at the same time, or to only one or two of these platforms.
  8. Select whether you want to publish now or on a future date.

Display social media buttons on your site

Help build your audience and drive attention to your socials by displaying social media buttons on your site.

  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Scroll down, expand Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
  3. Select Edit Site or Edit Website to open your website editor.
  4. Go to where you want to place your social media buttons and add a section, using the Social Links section type, and then select Add.
  5. Edit your section title, and then copy and paste the URLs of each of your social media sites into the correct place.

Display images from your Instagram account

Create interest by adding your Instagram feed to your website.

  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Scroll down, expand Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
  3. Go to where you want your Instagram feed to show and add another section, this time using the Instagram Feed section type.
  4. Choose a layout, select Add and customize the title (you can also use AI to suggest a catchy title for your Instagram feed by selecting Get Copy Suggestions).
Note: You're only allowed one Instagram feed on your site. If you don't see it in the section list, then it's somewhere else on your site.

Remember to publish your site so your changes are visible to everyone.

Pull in reviews

Reviews provide social proof that your products or services are awesome. We've even got some tips on how to ask your clients for testimonials or reviews.

  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Scroll down, expand Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
  3. Select Edit Website or Edit Site to open your website builder.
  4. Go to where you want to display your reviews and add a section, using the Reviews section type (you'll find this under Social Links.
  5. Select Add. You can add more than one Reviews section in more than one place.
  6. Edit the title (you can again use AI to suggest a title for your Reviews section), and also change the background image if you'd like.
  7. Select how you wish to add reviews to your site:

Remember to publish your site so your changes are visible to everyone else.

It's all coming together

Your site is published and now you've connected all the parts of your online presence together in one place. The only thing left is to set up the ability to accept payment online.
