Work with layers
Layers separate the elements of your project, allowing you to combine different images, graphics, shapes, and text in unique ways, so creating depth and richness.
Select your device to find out how to work with layers:
- Sign in to your GoDaddy Studio app
- Create a project or edit an existing project.
- At the top of the screen, select the
layers icon to see the layer stack for the page you’re on.
Change the layer order
The order in which layers appear in the layer stack reflects where each part of the design appears on your canvas. The top-most one is at the front.
To change the position of a layer, select and hold the 
selection icon to the right of it, then drag it to a new position.
Note: The background layer can’t be moved and will always be right at the back.
Lock a layer
You can lock a layer so that you don’t accidentally edit or move it.
In your layer stack, select and hold anywhere on the layer you want to lock, then select Lock from the banner that appears.
Duplicate or copy a layer
In your layer stack, select and hold anywhere on the layer you want to duplicate, then select Duplicate from the banner that appears to instantly create a copy.
Alternatively, select Copy from the banner that appears, then paste it anywhere in your layer stack.
Delete a layer
To delete a layer, select the 
delete icon to the left of it, then select Delete.

Note: You can edit your layers in the layer stack or directly on the canvas.

Deleting layers
To delete a layer, right-click on it, then select Delete from the menu that appears.
