Set up my Website Security account
After you've purchased Website Security, set it up to start scanning your site to identify vulnerabilities or compromises.
- Go to your GoDaddy product page.
- Under Website Security and Backups, next to the Website Security account you want to set up, select Set up.
- Select a domain from the dropdown list, or type a domain in the box, then select Next.
Once the site has been added, you will be asked if you want the Web Application Firewall (WAF) auto-activated. The WAF activation requires changing the DNS A record for your domain to point to the assigned firewall IP address.
- If you'd like the WAF to be auto-activated, select Activate Firewall.
- If you prefer to wait on the WAF activation, select Do Not Activate Firewall and select Next.
Note: Auto activation will only complete successfully if your DNS records are managed within the same account.
After this step, a pop-up will appear that says Setup in progress... Once complete, you will be taken to your Security Dashboard where you will be able to manage the various features included in the Website Security plan.
Continue with the next steps in the setup workflow to finish activating all features.

- Locate your available plans at the top of the security dashboard page.
- Select Add Site or Set Up.
- Select a domain from the dropdown list, or type a domain in the box. Then, select Next.
