Manage inventory on your GoDaddy smart terminal

You can view and manage inventory on your GoDaddy smart terminal through the Catalog and Register apps. After you’ve added products to your product catalog, you’ll be able to view and enter inventory levels from your device, set low and out of stock inventory alerts, and allow product backorders.

Note: The Point of Sale Plus plan is required to manage inventory and receive inventory alerts directly through the native apps on your GoDaddy smart terminal. With a free GoDaddy Payments account, you can manage product inventory through the GoDaddy Payments catalog in your browser, with third party apps on the smart terminal, or by syncing with your Websites + Marketing online store.

From the Catalog app, you’ll be able to edit stock count, set low inventory alerts, and enable/disable backorders. Stock counts and alerts will be visible across both the Catalog and Register apps on your smart terminal. As you sell on device, on mobile and online, your inventory count will automatically sync and update across platforms.

To track inventory and edit stock counts:

  1. On your GoDaddy smart terminal home screen, tap the Catalog app.
  2. Under Products, tap your desired product.
  3. Under Inventory Details, turn the Track Inventory toggle on.
  4. Under Quantity, enter your stock count.
  5. Tap Apply Changes.

To set low inventory alerts:

  1. On your GoDaddy smart terminal home screen, tap the Catalog app.
  2. Under Products, tap your desired product.
  3. In the Low Inventory field under Inventory Details, enter the stock count you want to see Low In Stock alerts for. These alerts will show in both the Register and Catalog apps.
  4. Tap Apply Changes.

To enable/disable backorders:

  1. On your GoDaddy smart terminal home screen, tap the Catalog app.
  2. Under Products, tap your desired product.
  3. Under Inventory Details, turn the Allow backorder toggle on or off.
  4. Tap Apply Changes.

Once you’ve enabled inventory tracking and stock alerts from the Catalog app, you’ll be able to customize how you view these statuses in the Register app.

Note: Make sure your Register app has been refreshed to sync catalog changes. Steps for this vary, depending on which version of the Register app you’re using:
  • Original app: Open the Register app, tap Register, then Wheel-shaped icon Settings, and then Refresh Register.
  • Updated app: Open the Register app, tap the menu on the upper left-hand side (next to Sale), then tap Refresh Register.

To view or hide stock counts/alerts:

  1. On your GoDaddy smart terminal home screen, tap the Catalog app.
  2. Tap the menu icon and tap Customize Layout.
  3. Under Item Card, turn the Item Stock, Low In Stock Status and Out of Stock Status toggles on/off as desired.
  4. Tap Save.
