About .tc domains
All .tc domains have the same requirements, restrictions, and supported features, such as registrations and renewals, transfers, and DNS.
Note: GoDaddy is no longer accepting new registrations or transfers of .tc domains. Existing .tc domain registrations can still be renewed.
Registrations and renewals
Anyone can register .tc domains on a first-come, first-served basis.
New registrations
- Registration length: 1-10 years
- Must use: 1-63 characters
- Can use: Letters (a-z characters), numbers (0-9) and hyphens (except in the 3rd and 4th characters of the domain name)
- Cannot use: Special characters (e.g., & or #)
- IDNs (Internationalized Domain Names): Not Supported
Renewals
- Renewal length: 1-10 years
- You can manually renew your domain anytime before expiration. We'll attempt to auto-renew 22 days before expiration, and we'll park the domain after the first failed billing attempt. Redemption fees may be applied 8 days before expiration. Check out the standard expiration timeline for details on what happens after expiration.
Features
- Transfers to GoDaddy: Not Supported
- Transfers away from GoDaddy: Supported
- Contact a GoDaddy Guide to get an authorization code before initiating the transfer with the new registrar.
- Transfers to another GoDaddy account: Supported
- Some contact info cannot be changed when transferring .tc domains to another GoDaddy account.
- Domain Privacy: Not Supported
- Domain Protection: Not Supported
- Contact Updates: Supported
- Contact a GoDaddy Guide to update the registrant info on your .tc domain.
- Premium CashParking®: Supported
- GoDaddy Auctions®: Not Supported
DNS requirements
- Must use: 2-10 nameservers
- DNSSEC: Not Supported
- IPv4: Supported
- IPv6: Not Supported
Cancellation requirements
Cancel the .tc domain in your GoDaddy account and then contact a GoDaddy Guide to complete the process.
