Fix Outlook errors when opening
If you are having trouble opening Outlook while using Microsoft 365 from GoDaddy, try our solutions to fix it.
Error | Solution |

"The action cannot be completed. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action." | Try these Outlook troubleshooting steps. |
"An encrypted connection to the server could not be established..." | Check your firewall or antivirus software, and add Outlook to your firewall as safe.
Also, make sure the Autodiscover CNAME record is in your DNS settings. If it's not, add a new CNAME record with autodiscover for the Name and autodiscover.outlook.com for the Value. |
"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. The operation failed." | Create a new Outlook by profile by following the instructions under Create a new profile in this article from Microsoft.
To use the new profile when opening Outlook, follow the instructions under either Configure Outlook to always use the same profile or Configure Outlook to prompt you to choose a profile when started. |
