Disposal Information Regulatory Information FCC Compliance Statement Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
ISED Compliance Statement
SAR statement The portable device is designed to meet the requirements for exposure to radio waves established by the ISED. These requirements set a SAR limit of 1.6 W/kg averaged over one gram of tissue. The highest SAR value reported under this standard during product certification for use when properly worn on the body. The SAR test distance for extremity is 0cm, and the SAR test distance for body is 10cm. California Proposition 65 Warning: Poynt Statement WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU + Battery Directive 2006/66/ec Electrical and electronic equipment and batteries are marked with the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol indicating that electrical and electronic equipment and batteries should not be disposed of in the regular household waste stream, but need to be collected separately. In case batteries contain more than 0,0005% mercury (Hg), 0,002% cadmium (Cd) or 0,004% lead (Pb) (by weight), the corresponding chemical symbol is displayed on the battery. Users need to follow local recycling regulations to reduce adverse environmental impact in connection with disposal of WEEE and batteries and to increase opportunities for reuse, recycling, and recovery of WEEE and batteries. To facilitate this, free collection points may be available in your area or you can contact Poynt to organize collection. Users are responsible for removing personal data from electronic devices prior to disposal. All rechargeable batteries have a limited lifespan and may eventually need to be serviced or recycled. The Poynt Smart Terminal and Poynt 5 batteries are designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 800 complete charge cycles. Don’t attempt to replace batteries yourself—you may damage the battery, which could cause overheating, fire, and injury. The lithium-ion battery in your terminal should be serviced or recycled by Poynt or an authorized service provider, and must be recycled or disposed of separately from household waste. Dispose of batteries according to your local environmental laws and guidelines.
