GoDaddy Auctions® bidder verification process
GoDaddy’s bidder verification process protects the buyers against fraudulent auction activity. Bidding can start immediately after purchasing a GoDaddy Auctions® membership, but you'll be limited to placing 2 bids at any given time or placing US$1500 total in bids.
There are two auction types that require verification:
- Value Priced: Re-acquired domain names up for auction.
- Expiry Auctions: Expired domain names up for auction.
Bidder verification is required if you need to exceed the bid limits, but not required if you’re only purchasing with “buy now” or “make offer” options below the US$1500 limit.
- Go to the GoDaddy Auctions® ID Verification form. (You might be asked to Sign in. Need help logging in? Find your username or password.)
- Enter your First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Phone Number and Organization and then select Next.
- The Names and the Address must match the ones under your GoDaddy account.
- There should be no blank spaces before or after the email address.
- The phone number field must include only numbers and there should be no blank spaces before or after it.
- Upload up-to-date scanned or digital color photo of your government-issued photo identification and select Next.
- Upload a photo of yourself holding the same ID document you added in the previous step and select Next.
- Upload one of the following documents dated within the last 90 days, with your address on file, and select Next.
- Utility bill (gas or electric)

- Credit card statement

- Next to the agreement, check the box and then complete the security challenge and then select Next.
- That's it! We'll get in touch if further information is needed and you'll receive an update from us shortly after submitting the form.
