Connect an accessory to a GoDaddy smart terminal
Connect accessories like cash drawers and printers to your smart terminal by using a USB, network, or Bluetooth connection. You can also connect your smart terminal to a standalone printer.
- Tap Settings on the second page of the smart terminal home screen.
- Tap Accessory.
- On the Accessory Manager menu, tap Add network accessory.
- Tap the type of accessory you want to add -- Cash Register, Cash Drawer, Scale, Printer + Cash Drawer, or Scanner. Want to add a standalone printer? Learn how to connect a printer and manage your printing preferences.
- Once you choose your accessory type, the available models will appear. Tap your model and then tap Connect.
- Enter the IP address and tap Confirm.
Note: Each network peripheral has a unique way to identify the device’s IP address. If you don’t know the IP address, review the accessory’s manual for instructions.
- Test the device from the Manage accessories list to confirm the connection.
- If the accessory is added but not working, remove it from the smart terminal, reboot the smart terminal and the accessory, and then try adding it again.
- Plug your USB cord into the GoDaddy Smart Terminal dock.
- Plug the other end of the cord into the accessory you want to add.
Note: The Smart Terminal must remain in the dock to use accessories connected this way.
- Tap Settings on the second page of the smart terminal home screen.
- Tap Accessory.
- On the Accessory Manager menu, tap Find new accessories.
- When you are prompted to enable Bluetooth, tap Yes.
- Tap your accessory type and tap Connect.
- Test the device from the Manage accessories list to confirm the connection.
